Whirlwind

Wow, okay. My last post was back in April… A lot of things have happened since then.

In early July, my husband and I got new jobs which required us to move. I now work in a Receiving/Shipping position for a small but growing company that builds both breathalyzer systems and patient data-entry tablets. Not only do I also pull parts of jobs, but I am also part of a refurbishment team in the manner that I check in RMAs (whatever that stands for :-p) and slap a rework checklist on the back panel. After that, it goes to the people responsible for making the devices “like new”.

Nothing special, but it’s new, so there are still some kinks to work out as well as ever-increasing volumes of devices coming in. Friday, there was a drop off of 50 devices from one company alone. Not only does that make for a lot of boxes, but a lot of trash as well. *sigh* On the plus side, I’m allowed over-time, which my last job denied.
