Perfect words

I have been working on the same scene for going on two weeks now. Not because I’m ‘stuck’. At least not necessarily.  It’s because I can’t decide how to properly put into words the scene itself.

I’m trying to write this spectacular,  fantastical scene that the story has clearly been building up to. The story needs this scene. Yet I’m being overly picky because it has to be just right. The sensory words have to be perfect. Not too over the top,  but very distinct with the emotions and actions that they are to convey. There is to be a primal sensuality about it. There has to be. To skimp on that would be horrendous.

Yet, here I am, still meditating on all of those perfect words.
